Establish a Non-Sexist Dress Code

This was the second big project we tackled in FSU, and by the end of the year, it was our principal who actually suggested the Oregon NOW non-sexist model dress code as our template, and it REALLY got a lot of girls excited about feminism on our campus!

Prior to this reform, girls being “coded” was the number one reason why students were being sent out on referrals to the office at our site.

Plus, the application of sexist dress codes are just “icky” on campuses with adults and other students ogling girls’ bodies to check for violations–which are invariably over applied to curvy girls.  One additional added benefit of this reform? Everyone gets used to the term “sexist” being used on your campus!
