You will eventually need data to back up your arguments that there is a need to implement Title IX.  None of the other “climate and culture surveys” in use ask the kids about sexual harassment or violence on their campuses. Your leaders will not know the reality about the shame of reporting, and the feelings of hopelessness that girls and other victims experience which keep them from telling anyone.  Getting permission to administer anonymous surveys to the kids is a powerful tool.  My feminist student union helped create our survey, and got the message out that we were honestly interested in the REAL truth of what was going on, and they underscored the confidentiality too!
