Review and Annotate District/Board Policies on Title IX
Believe it or not, but a lot of districts did not even have the appearance of compliance with the law before the MeToo movement. Most (to all) have done very little even since then, but have adopted some kind of board policies which they now publish online (even if they never, EVER drawn anyone’s attention to them). You will need to know Title IX well, and read and annotate all existing policies in your district before you come forward with your request for implementation. District leadership will delay, distract, and contain you, so you need to be ready. When you get here, reach out to us for help! You need to focus your pointed critiques in two ways: How are their existing board policies out of compliance with Title IX, AND how existing practices are out of compliance with their own policies.
