We are named for Medusa, who was the loyal priestess of Athena, and was raped by Poseidon. She was victim blamed by the priestess she dutifully served, and turned into a hideous monster. She then hid away to protect others from her gaze, but was later killed for sport by Perseus. In modern society, she has been sexualized and stripped of her true racial identity in media representations.
We meet the fourth Saturday evening of every month to share a feast and spoil one another! We are all female identifying gender equity warriors in the bay area with a fierce dedication to each other and honoring our intersectionality. This space is NOT just for people in education—and is totally confidential. Everything said here, stays here, including your very name and identity.
